On November 15, 2012. LILLIAN THERESA (NEE DREXEL) SIPES, 96, at home. Beloved wife of the late David G. Sipes, Sr. Devoted mother of the late David G. Sipes, Jr., Richard E. Sipes of Taneytown. Marytheresa (Teri) Helms and her husband Michael of Catonsville, and Victoria Sipes of Ellicott City. Cherished grandmother of Lindsey Helms. Also survived by many nephews and nieces.
Born in Franklintown, MD. Mrs. Sipes grew up in Woodlawn where her father was superintendent of Woodlawn Cemetery. When her mother passed away, Mrs. Sipes took over the running of the household for her father and five siblings, while also keeping the books for the cemetery. Her favorite hobbies were gardening, bird watching and arts & crafts.
Services and interment private.
For those desiring, the family asks that you plant a rose bush (her favorite flower) in your garden, in her memory.

Vicky and Family,so sorry to hear about your Mom''s passing. She was a bright spot in the salon each week and I''ve missed seeing her these last few years. There''s so many sweet memories I have of her;she was always in a pleasant mood ,I loved her twinkly warm smile ,and the stories and love she shared of her family.She was blessed to know what really matters in a life lived well,and I feel blessed to have know such a great lady. Your mother looked like a very lovely woman, and I am sorry for your loss. She must have been very special to look so vibrant into her nineties.
